The Daytona Sensors™ SmartSpark™ LS Ignition Module for GM® LS Series Engines features an ignition module for carbureted GM® LS series V8 engines with 24 or 58 tooth crank trigger and selection for GM® LS1 or higher energy LS2 style coils.
The SmartSpark™ is preprogrammed with advance tables suitable for a wide range of normally aspirated high performance engines. Users can digitally set launch, burnout, and maximum RPM limits with 100 RPM steps from 3,000 to 9,900 RPM. Access to launch and burnout RPM limits requires optional USB interface and PC Link software.

The SmartSpark™ Log software has the same PC requirements as our PC Link software.
When the engine is running, you can display real time engine data on an instrument panel type screen by using the 'View Real Time Data' command on the View menu.
Real time engine data is displayed on an instrument panel type layout with a round tach gauge and bar graph type gauges for all other parameters.

Many users use the SmartSpark™ as an upgrade for the MSD® Part #6010 and Part #6012 ignition controllers.
The Daytona Sensors™ SmartSpark™ Coils are designed for the GM® LS2, LS3, and LS7 engines
and are a direct bolt-on performance upgrade.
The coils will produce a hotter spark to burn the fuel more efficiently in the engine cylinders
resulting in the production of more engine power.
These coils feature high temperature epoxy filled housings that resist shock and vibrations using the latest coil technology.
Sold individually or in an 8-Piece Value Pack.

All readily available Daytona Sensors™ SmartSpark™ wiring harness part numbers are shown below. All harnesses are manufactured with PET expandable braided sleeving and PET cloth tape same as used on current GM® OE engine harnesses.
Crankshaft and camshaft position sensor connections use high temperature rated materials including silicone coated fiberglass sleeving.

SmartSpark™ Logging Software - It's Very Unqiue!
The unit is preprogrammed with advance tables suitable for a wide range of normally aspirated high performance engines. Users can digitally set launch, burnout, and maximum RPM limits with 100 RPM steps from 3,000 to 9,900 RPM. Access to launch and burnout RPM limits requires optional USB interface and PC Link software.
The USB interface and PC Link software allows programming a custom 3D advance table based on RPM and manifold pressure. SmartSpark™ Log software displays real time engine data during initial setup and dyno tuning. Also allows individual cylinder timing (ICT) capability with RPM based offset up to ±5° with 0.1° steps.
The SmartSpark™ features three (3) general purpose input terminals. Inputs can be used for RPM limits and multiple retard functions including driver adjustable retard (requires optional RTD-1 unit). Mode switch allows selection of basic functions. Advanced features require optional USB interface and PC Link software. Unit status LEDs show trigger inputs. The module is fully encapsulated construction without any internal voids and uses heavy-duty 12 pin Deutsch® connectors used for signal connections.
